Since each mural project is unique, I can only offer some insight based on my past experience.
Begin by communicating to me exactly what you want. Whatever your dream is, ASK FOR IT! Don't hold back. If I can understand and visualize what you are really looking for - I have a better chance of making it happen. If you have photographs or pictures, that helps me understand the style of art that you like. Do you like bright colors or do you want something toned down? Do you like abstract images or really detailed images? Do you want a painting that takes over the whole room, or just an accent in the corner? When I know what you want, I can give you a realistic estimate. In general, the cost of a project is going to be determined by it's size and detail.
If you are not sure about a mural, but want a fresh coat of paint to liven up a studio or a room, I provide general painting services as well. You may have a paint color already picked out, OR you may want me to choose the colors for the room based on your ideas and my experience. I will not begin painting until you have approved and are happy with our color scheme. I will bring color samples for you to choose from at our first appointment and will be happy to purchase the paints you choose, saving you the trouble.
I would be happy to provide an estimate to explore your ideas for the special project you are considering. A reasonable amount of prep work including taping, and filling small holes is included in my costs. Holes requiring re-texturing on the walls should be taken care of before I begin painting. Removing heavy furniture or equipment is not included in my estimate. I appreciate if you do it yourself or hire someone to do this before I begin.
